Do I qualify for a Habitat home?
Qualifying for a home is a simple process. Call or stop by our office at

We can assist you in filling out a short pre-qualification form. From there, if you pre-qualify you will be asked to sign a release to verify your credit. Next, we will help you set an appointment with our partners at Housing and Credit Counseling (HCCI).
HCCI will go through your budget and evaluate your credit. After Habitat evaluates the information gathered from this meeting a determination will be made regarding your application for the Habitat program.
If approved, your application will be sent to the Board of Directors for approval. Once board approval in determined, you will be invited to our offices to start on your sweat equity hours (volunteer hours) that will get you started on the process of becoming a homeowner.
This is not an overnight process, from application to closing on your home it can take anywhere from 9 to 12 months.
Basic Qualifiers

Steady source of revenue that meets income guidelines.

Willingness and ability to partner with the program for a minimum of 200 and up to 400 hours of volunteering
